What makes Sycamore Learning Center different from other NCLEX Review Centers? Anyone can stand in front of a classroom and read from a book while students sit and listen. Anyone can give an NCLEX question, give the correct answer and read the rationale to the students. One need not be a nurse to do this.
The experience that you will receive from Sycamore Learning Center is exceptional in that you will be facilitated, guided and helped by a highly- sought-after instructor in the reviewer, Mrs. Esther Gomez. Equipped with education, training and skills here in America, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the classroom brought by her many decades of clinical practice in the various fields of nursing including specialty areas, like ICU-CCU,ED. She had worked at reputable hospitals and medical centers throughout the nation: Albert Einstein Medical Center in the East Coast, Michael Reese Medical Center in the Midwest, and the world-renowned City of Hope National Medical Center in the West Coast. In her teaching, she puts emphasis on the very essence of what nursing is all about and should be about: efficiency, quality, and safety. It is what the prospective nurse is being tested on in NCLEX. She believes that if the student knows how to be a nurse, she/he would be able to understand her/his role and would be able to answer NCLEX questions correctly and appropriately (efficiently and safely) using Nursing Process, Maslow’s Hierarchy of Human Needs and Critical Thinking Strategies.
Having earned continuing education courses on Spirituality and Healing in Medicine, from Harvard Medical School and a graduate of Loyola Marymount University in Pastoral Care, Mrs. Gomez infuses spirituality in the caring part of nursing to where she teaches the nurse to attend to her/his patient, not just to do a task but to be present with the client and family, putting patient-first. As a client advocate, she teaches the prospective nurses to encourage the client to be proactive in their care.
Mrs. Gomez earned her Master of Science degree in Nursing from Mount St. Mary's College. After graduation, she was invited to join their Nursing Faculty both for their accelerated BSN and Traditional BSN programs at Chalon and Doheny campuses. She also worked as Staff Educator at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center.
In an intimate class setting, she encourages and motivates the prospective nurse to set a goal, work hard towards that goal, endure and persevere, and pray. That’s what it takes to successfully pass the NCLEX. In addition, WE CAN AIDE YOU IN FINDING A PART TIME JOB IN HOME CARE while you are in the process of getting you license.
This is what you will receive at Sycamore Learning Center.
